The Montereano Estate includes 62 hectares of organic land, a vineyard, an olive grove, fields of ancient cereals (Cappelli wheat, Khorasan, spelled, millet)
and typical legumes (chickpeas and grass peas).
It is surrounded by forests of oaks, oaks, hornbeams, holm oaks and cherry trees.
Around the estate you can meet wild animals, such as hares, pheasants,
porcupines, weasels, squirrels, roe deer and many others.
The farm is organic and eco-sustainable, family-run, produces and sells organic pasta
from ancient cereals, stone ground and bronze drawn.

TASTING E
COOKING CLASS
A unique opportunity to learn how to cook traditional Umbrian dishes. The activity begins with a small introduction of the elements and ingredients that will be cooked and then proceeds to the preparation and cooking techniques. A traditional Perugino lunch will be prepared. Torta al testo or homemade pasta and Perugina cocoa pralines with vin santo.
All accompanied by cheeses with home-made honey and aged balsamic vinegar, bruschetta with excellent oil and cold cuts from Umbrian farms.

TRUFFLE HUNTING AMONG THE ALTOTIBERINI HILLS
The truffle is a world waiting to be discovered: between uncontaminated nature, tradition and authentic passion. It is a unique experience that allows you to feel like a real truffle hunter. For those who visit our splendid region it is possible to live the experience linked to production by witnessing the story of the different processing phases with explanation of the various production processes right inside the oil mill which manages the entire production chain of the different types of extra virgin olive oil produced . BEEKEEPER FOR A DAY
An unforgettable experience discovering the world of bees: in the company of a professional beekeeper to explore an apiary. The beekeeper will provide all useful information regarding clothing and equipment. After wearing the appropriate suit, the beekeeper will open a box and show the queen bee and the female and male bees and both the life of these precious insects and how honey is produced will be explained. You will then return home with a jar of honey of your choice.

VISIT TO THE BROZETTI ARTISTIC WEAVING LABORATORY
The “Brozzetti artistic fabric laboratory” is located in San Francesco delle Donne , a charming Franciscan church, the oldest in Perugia, in the medieval quarter.
The fabrics which are reproductions of authentic medieval and Renaissance designs from the Umbrian and Italian textile tradition are manually created on ancient, perfectly functioning eighteenth and nineteenth century wooden looms.
The visit illustrates, in the suggestive location, the history, fabrics and ancient techniques handed down to the present day.

CERAMICS WORKSHOP WITH THE DERUTA MASTER
At the historic Torretti laboratory you will have the opportunity to create a ceramic work together with the master Vanni, one of the most appreciated internationally. The tour includes an introduction to ceramics and the history that links it to Deruta, a visit to the showroom and of course a lesson in which you will put your "hands in the mix" to create the artefact according to the traditional method, through the use of the artisanal wheel .
